Winemaker Notes
A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Vaccarèse and Muscardin, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes is made from oldvines located in and around Le Crau. The Grenache is aged in concrete for 12 months while the remainder is aged in demi-muid.
Critical Acclaim

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Intoxicating scents of ripe plums, dried spices and dark chocolate emerge on the nose of the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes, a rich, full-bodied effort that's undeniably impressive as a pre-bottling sample. Dense and concentrated, it somehow manages to retain a sense of freshness, perhaps the influence of the long, anise-tinged finish.

A solid step up, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes offers more of everything, with a deeper ruby/purple color, stunning notes of blackcurrants, black raspberries, toasted spices, and Provençal garrigue, medium to full-bodied richness, a beautifully layered mouthfeel, and a great finish. This is another sexy, seamless wine from this team that I would certainly be thrilled to have in the cellar. As with the base cuvée, 20-15 years of prime drinking are ahead of it.
