Organic farming, careful, clean winemaking without manipulation and a classicly styled, tank aged crispness all make this a perfect choice for Sancerre. 5-50 year old vines on a mix of kimmeridgian limestone and clay. Bright, crunchy fruit and mouth filling texture balanced by racy acidity and saline minerals.

Stéphane Cherrier took over as the winemaker for his family’s estate a few years ago and immediately began focusing on the vineyards and converting everything to organics, much as the Vacheron brothers and Stéphane Riffault did at their respective domaines. In the cellar the focus is on purity and elegance. Steel tanks and some large, older barrels are the rule; barriques are eschewed.
