This is Vega Sicilia—arguably the most iconic producer in Spain, and quietly one of the most respected names in the world.

Valbuena 5º comes from the same estate as their legendary Unico, but with a slightly more approachable style. The 2020 is built on 97% Tempranillo with a touch of Merlot, aged patiently across oak, steel, and bottle before release—nothing rushed, nothing forced.

What it tastes like

Blackcurrant, cedar, and balsamic notes lead into layers of dried herbs, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and subtle tea-like complexity. There’s a freshness to it that keeps everything lifted despite the depth.
